enough with the ai astroturfing
As a person of computer (POC) who unfortunately lives in a tech hub, everywhere I go, people talk about ai all the time. They talk about ai not just at work, but also at parties and restaurants. When I drive out to the mountains, billboards with dumb ai ads invade my field of vision and leave me with lingering, involuntary thoughts about work.
This is what the past 3 years have felt like:
Why don't I move or change my field of work? Well, a lack of other marketable skills, obviously.
The Bear Blog community refuses to give a fuck about ai. This is why I like hanging out here, getting my daily dose of humanity. It's also a small rebellion against "the industry", carving out time for myself to freely give out attention to whatever I want, not what the investor class wants.
It pisses me off to see ai marketers botting their way to the top of bearroll.dev. Yes, I see your posts getting hundreds of upvotes in the span of minutes. Your posts are boring, tedious, and cringe. The readers here have better taste than that.
Take your marketing campaign elsewhere, aye? People just don't want to give you attention. Get a hint already, go upvote yourselves on hackernews, or hackerrank, or whatever. Leave us alone.
